London pop-soul outfit Lucky made their debut earlier this year with the sleek but still portentous, 'You Are The One'. The three-piece have gone a little quiet since then, presumably they've spent every waking minute tightening up those already excellent grooves and fine-tuning singer Rhia's intoxicating voice, because comeback track 'Without My Heart' is a real stunner. There's a whiff of Tricky-ish trip-hop bubbling below the surface initially, although this swirling aesthetic soon gives way to a sugar-rush of Rudimental-style drumming and triumphant synth string swells. Despite the lack of physical substance - no full names, no photos, etc. - Lucky are quickly becoming one of the most recognisable, well-polished new pop groups around.
